When talking about weird anime’s only one anime came to mind … I remember watching this anime on adult swim I think. It was always on as I was relaxing before bed. I remember thinking to myself what a bizarre anime! So what anime am I talking about? Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is by far the weirdest anime I have ever seen lol. This anime really was just bizarre from start to beginning in my opinion.
“In a futuristic world, the Maruhage Empire is a militant organization out to steal everyone’s hair, and thus their freedom. But a brave man with an afro of gold and nose hairs of steel stands up against their tyranny. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, trained in the ways of hair, rescues a teenager named Beauty from the grunts of the Maruhage Empire. Together, they start on a journey to defeat Emperor Tsuru Tsurulina IV. As Bo-bobo meets new friends and battles foes along the way, so too does he begin his quest to save all the hairs of the world!
Light-hearted and comical, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo details a wacky adventure in which Bo-bobo and his companions fight all sorts of villains and deviants within the Maruhage Empire, all the while having a fun and exciting adventure.” (Source MAL)
My Thoughts: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo aired fall November 2003, to September 30th, 2005, with a total of 76 weird episodes. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo was just crazy, but that is why most people watched the anime, because of how crazy it was. To put it simply it is pretty much a gag on all other anime through that current time. The show follows a gang of fighter who are fighting against an oppressive army. This army is trying to get rid of hair all over the world. The characters in this anime are very interesting to say the least. If you are looking for an anime with crazy, wild, and bizarre anime characters. You stumbled upon the right blog post my blogging friends. Though I never sat down, and actually finished Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo I do remember it was pretty enjoyable to watch before bed. I enjoyed it because of the humor, and silly tactics throughout each episode that I watched .
Other Weird Ass Anime’s!
“As luck would have it, on her first day at Holbein Entertainment Co., Miki Ishimoto is tasked with managing a brand new idol group! A recent college graduate, Ishimoto is eager to begin her career in the industry. However, her department’s responsibility is…statues?!
The statues in question are the Sekkou Boys, or “The Rockies,” a boy band composed of four Greco-Roman sculptures: St. George, Mars, Hermes, and Medici. These four busts are new to the entertainment scene, and it is up to Miki to ensure the Rockies’ prosperity in the idol world. But will they be a stone-cold success? Or will Miki’s management prove to be a rocky start to stardom?
Sekkou Boys was a collaboration between character goods maker Zargiani Works, media company Kadokawa, and art supplier Holbein Artist Materials. It aired in the Ultra Super Anime Time programming block of Tokyo MX and BS11. Short live-action dramas discussing the anime were uploaded to Kadokawa’s official YouTube channel following each episode’s broadcast on Tokyo MX.” ( Source MAL)
Kyattou Ninden Teyandee
“Kyattou Ninden Teyande takes place in the city of Little Tokyo, a meld of feudal and modern Japanese culture, whose citizens are walking, talking animals.
When the head palace guard catches wind that the corrupt prime minister Seymour Cheese decides to become emperor and take over Little Tokyo, he knows that only one group can save Little Tokyo: the owners of a local pizza joint, the Pizza Cats! Serving delicious pizza by day, this trio’s true occupation is meowvelous warriors of justice! The Samurai Pizza Cats will do whatever it takes to protect Little Tokyo!
Kyattou Ninden Teyande was dubbed by Saban Entertainment under the name “Samurai Pizza Cats”, which featured an entirely new, pop-culture-heavy English script. Their licensing agreement lasted 11 years before expiring in 2002. While all episodes (excluding the two clip shows) were dubbed, several went un-aired in the United States.” (Source MAL)
“Naota Nandaba is an ordinary sixth grader living in a city where nothing amazing ever seems to happen. After his brother Tasuku leaves town to play baseball in America, Naota takes it upon himself to look after everything Tasuku left behind—from his top bunk bed to his ex-girlfriend Mamimi Samejima, who hasn’t stopped clingingto Naota since Tasuku left.
