Have you ever started an anime series, or a manga and just couldn’t finish it? You may have not finish the series because of the boring plot, maybe the animation was way to shitty, or my favorite is aggravating characters … characters that aggravate me is a good way for me to not finish an anime, or a manga … definitely if it is the main character that irks me. In this blog post I am going to talk about anime’s, and manga’s that I just simply could not finish no matter how hard I tried!
WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD
Hey you crazy fools just wanted to give you a heads up! Why because I am a kind loving person who cares about you. Any who, from this point on this blog post will contain spoilers. Now I know not everyone is a fan of spoilers so tread careful (insert evil laughter). On that note let’s get this shiz nit started shall we.
Anime I just couldn’t bare to watch!
How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord
Summary: In regards to the MMORPG Cross Reverie, Sakamoto Takuma boasted an overwhelming strength that was enough for him to be called the Demon King by the other players. One day, he gets summoned to another world with his appearance in the game. There, two girls insist, “I am the real summon master.” Takuma gets slave-turning magic used for summoned beasts cast on him by the girls. However, the peculiar ability “Magic Reflection” is invoked! The ones that were turned to slaves were the girls!
Takuma is bewildered. He’s the strongest magician but, he doesn’t have any social skills. Panicking, the first words that come out are the ones that he used inside the game role-playing the Demon King?! “I’m amazing you say? Of course I am. I am Diablo… The one feared as the Demon King!” This is the story the Demon King (acting) that would soon inspire the world and his other world adventure that he plunges through with his absolute strength, raise the curtain. My Thoughts: Alrighty, so basically I just couldn’t stand how overly sexual they made the anime. I mean come it is absolutely ridiculous! I get it … there are anime lovers who love fan service like this, but they really went overboard in my opinion. I made it up to episode 8 I think before I finally said no more lol. It literally focuses on boobs, and butt lmao … don’t get me wrong I like boobs, and butt a lot, but I don’t need it shoved down my throat lmao. I did like the fight scenes, but other than that the I felt the anime lacked.
Basically, the anime is about Takuma Sakamoto who lives his life playing MMORPG. One day was summoned by two cute girls named Rem who is a neko, and Shera who is an elf. The two girls want to enslave Takuma aka Diablo in MMORPG world. Little did they realize Diablo has the ability to reflect magic, and so are two cute girls are now his slaves. Basically the story is them going on adventures to get the slave spell dispelled, but in the process of all this you get a lot of kissing, boob fondling , and a shit ton of sexual remarks.
Toaru Majutsu no Index
Summary: Academy City, Japan, is at the forefront of science. Besides being 30 years ahead of the world technologically, more than three-fourths of this peculiar city’s population consists of students developing their psychic abilities as espers in various institutions. Among these students is Touma Kamijou, a high school boy with the lowest psychic rank of zero, but with a mysterious power no scientist can understand: “Imagine Breaker,” which allows him to negate other supernatural abilities.
This, however, doesn’t affect Kamijou’s life in the least as he plays his role as a regular teenager; that is, until he meets the strange Index Librorum Prohibitorum, a young girl who has memorized the entire forbidden grimoires, and now a dangerous organization is hunting Index down. With several magicians looking to harm the girl, Kamijou will defend his new companion at all costs as he discovers a strange new realm of the supernatural. ( Source MAL)
My Thoughts: You would think I would enjoy Index since Railgun is one of my favorite anime’s of all time, but I actually can’t stand the main character for some odd reason. I can’t even give you a good reason why I don’t like the main character lmao. Besides me not really caring to much for the main character of index … I personally think this anime is very generic, and plain. I mean it isn’t a bad thing, but it also isn’t a good thing so it is a BAGOO (bad and good put together).
Right … so the story follows Touma are main dude, and magician girl who I believe is being chases. Touma being a decent human decides he is going to help her out, and from that point on the two have a lot of crazy adventures together. The story doesn’t really have a main focus so it makes it hard to follow in my opinion. Maybe I will give it a try again … maybe my opinion about the anime will change.
Summary: Devils cannot take form without a living host. However, if the will of an individual is strong enough, they can overcome the demon and make its power their own, becoming a Devilman. Weak and unassuming, Akira Fudou has always had a bleeding heart. So when his childhood friend Ryou Asuka asks for his help in uncovering devils, Akira accepts without hesitation. However, to Akira’s surprise, the place they go to is Sabbath: an immoral party of debauchery and degeneracy. Amidst bloodshed and death, demons possess the partiers, turning their bodies into grotesque monsters, and begin wreaking havoc. In a reckless attempt to save his best friend, Akira unwittingly merges with the devil Amon and becomes a Devilman, gaining the power to defeat the remaining demons. Though it grants him great power, this new partnership awakens an insatiable and primeval part of Akira. Having the body of a devil but the same crybaby heart, Akira works alongside Ryou, destroying those that harm humanity and his loved ones.
My Thought: A friend on amino app actually recommend that I give this anime a watch … I got three episodes in, and was extremely bored. I also wasn’t a big fan of the ecchi-ness … in general I don’t care for anime’s with a lot of ecchi-ness in it. I can handle some to an extent, but most anime’s go overboard (not all). I thought Devilman: Crybaby relied a lot of sex, and gore … the gore was cool but yeah to lewd for me to care about it.
The story follows some dude who name I don’t remember, or care to remember so we will just call him dude. Anyways if I am not mistaken this is an anime adaptation of a manga by Nagai’s. From what I can remember the anime main focus seem to be violence, sex, and gore … like I stated above. The plot line was weak, and bit all over the place … so much that I don’t really know how to talk about it … then again I only watch three episodes lol. Anyways I am going to stop here because I have basically repeated what I said in the previous paragraph LMAO.
Manga that Put me asleep!
Summary: Ichigo Kurosaki would have liked to have been an Ordinary High-School Student. Unfortunately, his ability to see and hear ghosts (and his orange-colored hair) kept getting in the way of a normal life. This is all he knows of the spirit world until the day he encounters Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper whose profession requires her to destroy evil spirits (“Hollows”) and send good spirits (“Pluses” or “Wholes”) to the afterlife. When Rukia is injured while trying to slay a powerful Hollow about to kill Ichigo and his family, she offers the boy a portion of her powers to defeat it in her place. Unfortunately, his abnormally-high amount of spiritual energy absorbs all of her power instead, forcing him to take up her duties until she can recover and return home. What follows is adventures within the realms of the spirit world and facing the dangers that produce them. (Source TvTropes)
My Thoughts: So I will be honest with guys I like the anime, but even the anime lacks. I just couldn’t get into the manga series. I felt like the manga series was being dragged out which made it extremely boring to me. I honestly do not remember what chapters I have read, because I think so little of the manga series. Lets be real the story line is your typical “save the girl” and “beat the strong dudes up” type shit … which is a little played out, and annoying.
The plot in the manga lacks … basically the same shit happens over, and over again that you become uninterested, because you know what is going to happen next lol. What do I mean by that? I will be more than happy to explain … Ichigo the main character in the manga series will power up somehow … follow by somebody getting kidnapped,or something along those damn lines, Ichigo will now mope around until he finally get his shit together, and saves them.
I read a lot, but it is rare for me not to like what I read!
I have been scrambling my brain all day thinking about what other manga’s bore me, but I honestly can’t think of any. Maybe it is because my brain is actually empty, or it could be because I am on an anime kick. Meaning I have been watching a hell of a lot of anime, than I have been reading manga. Well guys I think this sums up this little blog post! As always thank you for reading what I have to say, I always appreciated! Keep your eyes peel for Yuru Yuri, and Violet Evergarden breakdown.
